TF2 Medieval: Heavy - by Folji
Artist Note: “When I first got to work with the idea for this one, all I really had was the handheld ballista. Then, the more I thought about it, the more it made sense that in a medieval setting, the Heavy would likely be an executioner. It just makes sense, for both looks and personality. But then it really didn’t make sense for him to go around with a vest and am ammunition belt, so I looked up some pictures of executioners and tried to work out something a bit more suitable while remaining within the clean stylization of Team Fortress 2. The final result is actually pretty nice.
“The executioner’s mask doesn’t require much of an explanation. The fist weapon is a pair of burlap boxing gloves with spikes on the end, which will probably have a chance to cause bleeding or something along those lines. The main weapon is a handheld ballista; slower rate of fire than a regular minigun, but way more accurate. The barrel on the side is for storing additional bolts.”
